A look back
The past 12 months have marked an expansion era for us at Player XP, filled with noteworthy achievements and exciting milestones. Let’s take a moment to reflect on the highlights of our journey. Throughout the year, we actively participated in and eventually hosted some incredible events, introduced innovative features, and welcomed new talents into our growing family!
This year, we had the pleasure of adding five exceptional individuals to our team:

Joe Kemp: As our Senior Account Manager, Joe spearheads sales efforts and maintains seamless communication with both existing and potential clients.
Dylan Foster-Slack: A valuable addition to our team as a Junior Software Developer, Dylan works alongside our elite team, contributing to the continuous improvement of Player XP and expanding his skills each day.

AI & AUT Expo
In the kick-off to 2023, CEO Christopher Weavill and Machine Learning/Data Scientist David Dixon represented Player XP in Budapest as part of the UK delegation at the AI & AUT Expo. Chris represented us with honour and delivered a presentation on the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and engaged with exceptional business and research leaders.
At GDC, Chris and Andy (CTO & Co-founder) had the privilege of meeting with our lovely client, Warner Bros. Games. They were graciously invited for an office tour, providing a personal touch after we collaborated on the successful launch of Hogwarts Legacy the previous month.
New Feature: Toxicity
In April, Player XP proudly introduced a ground-breaking feature – Toxicity! This tool empowers our users to monitor community well-being, report player toxicity, and address safety concerns. A notable application of this tech occurred when Jagex launched the ‘Necromancy’ skill in RuneScape. Utilizing Toxicity, Jagex identified and managed toxic elements within their community, demonstrating effective control over the situation. As of now, all accounts should have Toxcitiy tracking enabled. Let us know if you have any questions on how best to utilize this tool with your community.
Game Quality Forum
This past June, Andy and Jenesee hosted a highly successful workshop at the Game Quality Forum, showcasing and speaking on industry best practices across various stages of a game’s lifecycle. Due to its success, we’re excited to announce a similar online workshop on January 25th. Join us and register HERE!
Participating in Develop: Brighton provided Player XP with valuable opportunities to connect with clients and forge new relationships. Chris and Joe met with Curve Games, later assisting with the launch of ‘For The King II.’ Chris also participated in a panel as part of Just About’s Community Collab and secured an invite to the coveted Splash Damage party!
Leading up to United By Games, Chris and Joe attended Gamescom, engaging in meetings with Player XP’s clients and potential future partners.
Welcoming a new addition to our data sources, TikTok! The team’s dedicated efforts have resulted in seamlessly integrating TikTok into Player XP. Users can now monitor their communities’ activity on the fifth-largest social platform globally. For inquiries about utilizing TikTok to enhance community understanding, contact us.
